AIMO was founded by Bharat Ratna Sir. M. Visvesvaraya over 75 years ago. The Organisation has established itself as a body committed to Industrial progress with the motto "Prosperity through Industry". It has been recognized by Government as an apex Organisation of industry and given representation on most of the policy making bodies of the Central and State Governments. The ASSAM State Board continues to be represented on number of Government / Quasi Government Bodies viz.
The All India Manufacturers' Organisation (AIMO) – Assam & N.E. Guided by our founding motto, "Prosperity Through Industry," AIMO has played a pivotal role for over six decades as a steadfast advocate for micro, small, medium, and large-scale enterprises. Located at the Lions Seva Kendra Complex on Makum Road in Tinsukia, Assam, our regional board serves as a vital bridge between local entrepreneurs, industrial stakeholders, and government bodies.
We actively engage in policy advocacy, representing regional industrial interests before central and state departments to streamline regulatory processes, foster Ease of Doing Business, and unlock the economic potential of the North East.
